Students enter their grades on a phone, at home or while queuing. Staff can enter them on a student's behalf. Each set of grades is checked against the requirements for every subject the student applied to, so staff see the full picture straight away.

Verified grades from the DfE, not typed in

P16 connects to the DfE's Education Record service. Choose how to retrieve each student's record, and eligibility is checked as soon as the grades arrive. That removes re-keying and the transcription errors that come with it.

Once places are confirmed, the same cohort feeds your enrolment report: students enrolled, conversion rate, average subjects per student and taster day attendance, with a PDF to download.

Questions

Questions about results day

Can students submit their GCSE grades online before they come in?
Yes. Students can submit grades from home or from their phone while they queue. Staff see the updated status on a live screen as soon as grades go in, and pre-booked time slots stop everyone arriving at 8am.
Does P16 import grades from the DfE?
Yes. P16 connects to the DfE's Education Record service, so verified GCSE grades can be retrieved for each student by QR code, ULN lookup or device code. A CSV import is always available, so you are never blocked.
How is subject eligibility checked?
As soon as grades are entered or retrieved from the DfE, P16 checks them against your requirements for every subject the student applied to. Eligible students are confirmed, borderline cases go on a structured waiting list, and staff can override any decision with a reason that is logged on the student's record.
Can a student change their subjects if they do better than predicted?
Yes. A student whose results beat expectations can ask to change their subject choices on results day. Staff handle the requests from the same screen.
