Questions

Before you book

How long does setup take?
Setup takes up to five days, and you're ready to go live immediately after. We handle the initial configuration with you on a call, covering your branding, cohort settings, subject list and grade requirements, so there's no training session required. Returning schools copy their previous year's settings in one click.
Does it work with our MIS?
We support data export in formats compatible with the major MIS systems used in sixth forms and colleges. Full two-way API integration is on our roadmap — get in touch and we can discuss your specific system.
What happens on results day?
Students submit their grades and evidence digitally — in person or from home. Your staff see a live dashboard with eligibility status per subject, managed time slots to spread the day out, and can confirm or defer enrolments on the spot. Most schools tell us it's the calmest results day they've ever had.
Where is our data hosted?
In the EU, in Germany, behind Cloudflare, and handled under UK GDPR.
Can we try it before committing?
Yes — we offer a one-week demo environment so you can explore the platform with dummy data before making any decision. Just mention it when you book a demo.
What support do you get?
Email support is included for all schools. We also provide onboarding help for your first cohort and are available during results day if anything comes up. You won't be handed to a support queue — you'll have a direct contact.
Does P16 help us follow the School Admissions Code?
Yes. Admissions Code mode is on by default for new schools, and existing schools switch it on from their settings. Until a student submits their enrolment on results day, your staff only see information with a direct bearing on your published admission arrangements. Ethnicity, nationality, languages, religion, SEN, FSM, medical needs, further emergency contacts, future plans, ID documents, ULN, UCI and references stay in the student's P16 profile and unlock when they submit their enrolment.

Decisions use the student's own predicted grades, never a referee's. A rejection on predictions is never final: anyone whose results meet your entry requirements can enrol on results day, and nobody gets priority for holding an offer or attending a taster day. Each cohort has a checklist that flags anything the Code wouldn't allow, such as a missing PAN for external applicants.

You remain the admission authority, so your published arrangements still need to match. Providers that aren't bound by the Code, such as FE colleges, can switch the mode off.
