The problem in 2018
Brampton Manor Academy in East London takes a large Year 12 intake. In 2018 the school needed a way to get that intake through enrolment without paper forms and without re-keying the same details into other systems. P16 began that year as an internal tool, written to do exactly that.
What P16 replaced
The first version replaced paper forms and re-keying. Version 2 followed in January 2019 and added student sign-up, automated reference collection and student sorting. Since then it has covered applications, references, interviews, taster days and results day, in every admissions cycle at the school.
Where it is now
In April 2025 P16 was rebuilt on a new stack as a multi-school platform, so that other sixth forms and colleges can use it. Educoda Ltd was incorporated on 7 May 2025 to run it. Across the 2024 to 2026 admissions cycles, the school processed over 15,000 applications, 5,000 or more taster day places, 3,300 or more results day submissions and 30,000 or more automated emails on P16.
